Adrian is the knowledge exchange office for RIVIC based at Swansea University. He has been employed within Computer Science at Swansea for some 10 years having previously been the commercial manager for the highly successful “Centre of Excellence for Computing and Software Technologies”. Coming from a commercial background he has owned and run several successful companies, worked as the assistant director in Wales for the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and been instrumental in the formation of a number of university spin-out companies. Most recently he has been involved in spinning-out a new company called “SportsViz”, which was a result of A4B research funding from the Welsh Government resulting in the development of novel visualisation technologies for the analysis of sports performance data. Drawing upon his wealth of business experience Adrian’s role is to act as the commercial bridge between industry and academic research.
