This workshop is being organised by RIVIC ‘The Wales Research Institute of Visual Computing’, who have achieved world class recognition in state of the art visual computing research achievements. The event will create a group to submit a proposal to the ‘Data exploration: creating insight and value’ TSB competition for collaborative R&D funding January 2014.

The purpose of this event is to:

• inform academics and industry about the TSB Data Exploration call and how it will work, including proposal format, eligibility of partners, due dates, selection criteria, timelines and funding arrangements.
• be a platform to demonstrate the capabilities of RIVIC researchers, their excellent track record of successful visual computing projects and collaborative achievements during the last four years.
• provide potential collaborative partners from industry with an opportunity to talk to RIVIC members about areas of cooperation, with a view to submitting collaborative funding bids to the TSB Data Exploration call in early 2014, and other suitable TSB calls.
