Efficient 3D shape matching and retrieval
While various techniques have been proposed for shape matching and analysis, it is time to consider carefully how such techniques can be fine tuned for shape matching and retrieval on the internet. Admittedly, the internet is widely used for mainly text based document and image search and imposes a huge impact on our life, teaching, learning and research. With the increase in speed of data transmission and processing, 3D shape search through the internet may become realistic in the near future. This project attempts to develop efficient techniques for the representation and matching of 3D shapes.
